From a shipping need to a connected supply ecosystem
Hamburg Connect began with a very specific job: moving goods between Vietnam and other countries.
Over more than ten years in logistics, we have worked with Vietnamese people living, working and doing business in Germany, Europe and other markets. Each shipment and customer story showed us that a shipping request often points to a larger need.
Behind every shipment
Some customers need furniture for a new restaurant. Others are opening a nail salon, spa or shop and need everything from signage and counters to equipment and small supplies. Families may need to take their personal belongings to a new home.
The question becomes more than how to ship: where to source, how to buy, how to make products fit the place where they will be used, and how to bring everything to the destination.
Finding a good supplier from abroad is not always easy
People often start by asking relatives or friends, gathering quotations and comparing workshops. That can work for a few items.
A restaurant, shop or project with many items is more complex. The buyer and the place of use may have different requirements for dimensions, appearance, materials, technology, electricity and use.
Customers do not necessarily need more suppliers. They need a contact who understands the need and knows where to source.
That is why Hamburg Connect began connecting suppliers
Building on production, trade and logistics experience, we developed a network of production and supply partners in Vietnam. We do not own a factory that makes everything. Each partner has its strengths: furniture, nail and spa supplies, retail, signage, printing, packaging and business equipment.
Our role is to understand needs, find suitable resources and connect the right partners. Customers can work directly with suppliers. If needed, we can help communicate, negotiate and purchase suitable products and equipment on their behalf.
Customers then have a team in Vietnam to help coordinate work from afar.
Vietnam — A source with considerable potential
Vietnam has strengths in furniture, wood products and varied workshops. These offer choices for projects needing custom dimensions, designs or concepts.
Equipment and supplies for restaurants, nail salons and spas are increasingly varied, from locally produced goods to specialist products distributed in Vietnam.
Availability alone is not enough. What matters is whether the goods suit the customer and the market where they will be used.
Logistics remains our foundation
Finding suitable goods is only half the story. They must be checked, purchased, consolidated, packed and documented, then exported, transported, imported and delivered. These are the steps where Hamburg Connect has years of experience.

We choose to connect
Hamburg Connect does not aim to be a place where customers must buy everything. Some customers only need transport. Others already have suppliers and need a logistics partner. Others need someone in Vietnam to help source, coordinate suppliers, consolidate and prepare goods.
Depending on the project, we take part at the level needed: shipping only, sourcing and purchasing, or coordinating several stages of one journey.
